Squeers is a satirical commentary about living in the 21st century, taking a look through the Squirrelopolis in the trees at their struggle for individuality vs. the political and capitalist control of the masses on the ground, as they challenge true freedom of self-expression.

A Local Team Adapts for Animation...
Squeers has been adapted for a TV series from the comic strip by a team of talented creatives in CapeTown, South Africa.
Pop the Culture and Zeropoint Studios are producing the adaptation of the Squeers comic concept, which is being led in development by Creative producer, Wendy Spinks and Director Matt Torode. The team includes writer, storyteller and performer, Lebogang Mogashoa, Sound designer Craig Damster in Cape Town. René Veilleux and Donald Lopez, both experienced voice directors and casting agents in Los Angeles at Verite Entertainment, joined the team to find and direct the right voice talent for the future global cast.

They might have been Neil and Artel, two gay squirrels with their own internet show called Squeers, South Africa’s very first gay animated adult series.
